The Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works is working to repair a watermain along Harry S. Truman Parkway in Annapolis.
This work will cause a water service interruption to the Heritage Harbor area as well as residents on streets off of Truman Parkway. The duration of the interruption is not known at this time. Updates will be provided as soon as possible.

      Weather permitting, Kinder Farm Park's very own Sawmill Club will be running logs through the mill. Wood milled from the sawmill can be seen around Kinder Farm park, including inside the Tobacco Barn Museum and Visitor Center.

      Antique Equipment and Sawmill Club’s mission is the restoration and display of the park’s antique farm equipment, tractors and sawmill. Our goal is to offer presentations and displays of antique farm tools and equipment so that those participating can experience farm life in historical Anne Arundel County. The lumber from the sawmill is used in many of the small barns and other structures in the park.

    • Ethics Commission Meeting(Cancelled) Time: 4:00p - 6:00p Location: 2666 Riva Road Annapolis, MD 21401 Details:

      The Ethics Commission is regularly scheduled to meet on the second Monday of each month, beginning at 4:00 p.m., in the commission’s office, unless rescheduled by the commission.  The commission will also have a contingent meeting scheduled for the third Monday of each month. The open portion of the meeting is usually quite brief, about 5-15 minutes.  Visitors are welcome to attend the open portion of the meeting.  If a person would like to bring a matter to the commission's attention or otherwise be heard during either the open or closed portion of the meeting, that person must notify the commission at least 24 hours prior to the meeting, providing that person's name and contact information. The commission has the discretion to permit a person to address the commission during a meeting, and may limit the time for the remarks of any speaker. The commission will not respond to questions or comments during a meeting, but upon request, will respond in writing to any speaker within a reasonable time after the meeting.

      The Plan2040 Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) provides input to the Office of Planning and Zoning in the development of Plan2040. The Commission consists of a Chair, citizens from each of the seven County Council districts, as well as representatives from the environment, building, education, and planning sectors.

      Antique Equipment and Sawmill Club’s mission is the restoration and display of the park’s antique farm equipment, tractors and sawmill. The lumber from the sawmill is used in many of the small barns and other structures in the park.

      Low cost rabies vaccinations and microchip implantations are available every Thursday (except holidays) for a period of 3 hours at Anne Arundel County Animal Care & Control. Times are dependent on the season and we do have some clinics with special hours.  The veterinarian leaves promptly at the end time for the clinic. Depending on the length of the line, Animal Care & Control may conclude the line at an appropriate time to ensure all individuals remaining in line receive the services.

      Happy Hats Maryland was started by Kay Alston, a retiree from the State of Maryland Judiciary, who wanted to help make children a little happier with her whimsical hats. The ultimate goal of Happy Hats Maryland is to make whimsical yarn

      wigs and hats for pediatric cancer patients in the Mid- Atlantic region, with the emphasis on Maryland. This workshop is for anyone who would like to lend a hand in making the wigs. All materials and supplies are provided, and Kay will teach participants, working in pairs, how to assemble and style the hair. It typically takes 2-3 hours to assemble and style each wig. Come and have fun while helping to put a smile on a child’s face! Light refreshments will be served. Workshop is limited to the first 16 people that sign up. * If you are not able to attend the workshop, but would like to contribute to the cause, Kay gladly welcomes donations of soft brands of yarn like Caron Simply Soft or Red Heart Soft in primary colors,brown, red, white, and yellow are used so as not to irritate sensitive scalps.

      Weather permitting, Kinder Farm Park's very own Sawmill Club will be running logs through the mill. Wood milled from the sawmill can be seen around Kinder Farm park, including inside the Tobacco Barn Museum and Visitor Center.

      Antique Equipment and Sawmill Club’s mission is the restoration and display of the park’s antique farm equipment, tractors and sawmill. Our goal is to offer presentations and displays of antique farm tools and equipment so that those participating can experience farm life in historical Anne Arundel County. The lumber from the sawmill is used in many of the small barns and other structures in the park.

      Who is eligible?

      Seniors who live in Anne Arundel County and are at least 60 years of age can purchase a Shop ‘n Eat Cash Card for use at any participating grocery store. Program is limited to one person per household. 

      Participants must show proof of Anne Arundel county residency, and participate in the nutrition education every quarter to be eligible. Participants may pay by cash, check or money order only.

    • Weekly Rabies & Microchip Clinic Time: 12:00p - 3:00p Location: 411 Maxwell Frye Road Millersville, MD 21108 Details:

      Low cost rabies vaccinations and microchip implantations are available every Thursday (except holidays) for a period of 3 hours at Anne Arundel County Animal Care & Control. Times are dependent on the season and we do have some clinics with special hours.  The veterinarian leaves promptly at the end time for the clinic. Depending on the length of the line, Animal Care & Control may conclude the line at an appropriate time to ensure all individuals remaining in line receive the services.  
        

      Please note clinics are weather permitting and may be canceled for high temperatures, low temperatures, precipitation, air quality or any other factors that may increase risks to citizens or animals at the outdoor clinic. 
        

      Dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in carriers.
