• Pollinator Wednesday Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm Locations: Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary Details:

  Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary - Emory Waters Nature Preserve

  Join staff and volunteers on Wednesdays 9 am - 12 noon at the Emory Waters Nature Preserve to work in our pollinator gardens. To beat the heat we will meet 8-11 am June 21-Sept 15. See Jug Bay’s newest property and learn about native perennials that support our native butterflies, bees, and other pollinators. Volunteers will weed, mulch, prune, and plant to revive, maintain, and build pollinator gardens. Meet new friends and enjoy interesting conversations. Bring gardening gloves, your favorite tools, and plenty of drinking water. Current health guidelines will be enforced. Ages: 12 and up, minors must be accompanied by an adult. Free. Walk-ins welcome! Groups of five or more please call Debra at 410-222- 8006 to arrange. Proceed through the driveway gate about 1 mile to the second white house.

   
   
• Korean Computers (Brooklyn Park Senior Center) Time: 9:30am - 11:30am Locations: Brooklyn Park Senior Activity Center 202 Hammonds Lane Brooklyn Park, MD 21225 Details:

  Instructor Jong Park covers a variety of computer topics in this class, taught in Korean.

• District 5 Budget Event (Postponed) Time: 5:00pm - 6:00pm Locations: Arnold Senior Activity Center 44 Church Road Arnold, MD 21012 Details:

  Notice posted 9/1/2021: Due to today's inclement weather, our District 5 budget event has been postponed. A new date will be announced soon.

  The Anne Arundel County budget process started with seven town halls where we heard county residents give input about what they wanted to see in the budget. We think a fitting way to end the budget season is to come back to our residents and explain how this budget invests in our communities.
   

  Please join us for our District 5 budget visit on Wednesday, September 1 at 5:00 p.m. at the Arnold Senior Center (44 Church Road Arnold, MD 21012)
   

  Residents will have the opportunity to speak with the County Executive and community members about the FY22 budget and our investments in your communities.
