      We are planning a very special Mother’s Day event for next month, and we are kicking it off with a purse raffle beginning April 1st! Please behold the beautiful authentic Coach® Signature Sage Carryall displayed in the showcase by the touch screen sign-in! With an MSRP of $395, it features:

    • Electrical Board Meeting Time: 8:30am - 10:30am Locations: 2664 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD. Details: The Board of Electrical Examiners hears complaints with reference to violations of Title 11, Article 4, of the Anne Arundel County Code and advises the Director of Inspection and Permits of its findings and recommendations. They also advise on the issuance of electrician licenses.
    • County Executive Pittman to Kickoff County 2020 Census Activities Time: 9:00am - 9:30am Locations: Brooklyn Park Community Library 1 East 11th Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21225 Details:


      Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman will launch the county’s 2020 census outreach efforts, along with The City of Annapolis Mayor Gavin Buckley and other government and community leaders. In accordance with the U.S. Census Bureau’s strategy, the county has formed a Complete Count Committee to encourage everyone within the county to be counted.

      The Brooklyn Park Library is within census tract 7501.01, which had a Low Response Score of 22.4% in the 2010 Census. This is among the lowest response scores in Anne Arundel County. An accurate census count is important because census results are used to set political districts, distribute federal and state funding, and make public policy decisions. 

    • Bingo Time: 12:30pm - 2:30pm Locations: South County Senior Activity Center 27 Stepneys Lane Edgewater, MD 21037 Details: Play bingo for donated prizes. Bingo is held on the first Monday of the month, but is subject to change depending on center events.
    • Genealogy Club Time: 12:30pm - 2:00pm Locations: South County Senior Activity Center 27 Stepneys Lane Edgewater, MD 21037 Details: Welcome back Nicholas Fessenden from the Baltimore Immigration Museum to speak about "Strangers in the
      Land" 1882-1965. After the great wave of immigration in the late 19th century, Americans vigorously debated the issues of immigration from Europe. Congress established a quota in the 1920s for immigrants from each country. This tragically closed the doors to refugees fleeing from Nazi Germany and other countries in the 1930s. All are welcome to attend.

    • Chesapeake Forge Blacksmith Guild Meeting Time: 7:00pm - 10:00pm Locations: Kinder Farm Park Details: The Chesapeake Forge Blacksmith Guild meets every Monday at 7:00 p.m. Members learn and practice new techniques as they work on their projects. No registration required. No gate fees.
