    • Chef On The Go Time: 11:15am - 12:30pm Locations: Catherine L. O'Malley Senior Center 1275 Odenton Road Odenton, MD 21113 (410) 222-6227 Details: Join Chef Rosalie Falter for a Christmas Dinner sampling. Menu will feature: Antipasto Spread with Toast Points, Butternut Squash and Apple SOUP, Pork Tenderloin, mushroom gravy and Cardamom Carrots. Sign up is required along with a $3.00 supply fee.

      Channel your inner scientist and join Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) for a fun, family-friendly event. AACC students and faculty present displays and hands-on activities for guests to learn more about chemistry, anatomy and physiology, physics, microbiology, zoology and more. And two (identical) science shows designed to amaze and educate the audience will be on tap at 5:30 and 7 p.m. Come see how fun science can be! For elementary and middle school students, though kids of all ages are welcome.


      The event is free and open to the public.

    • Planning Advisory Board Meeting Time: 6:00pm - 8:30pm Locations: Chesapeake Room, Second Floor, Heritage Office Complex, 2664 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD. Details: The Planning Advisory Board (PAB) makes advisory recommendations to the Planning and Zoning Officer and the County Council relating to the Master Plan, the zoning maps, and rules and regulations relating to zoning.

    • Navajo Code Talkers Time: 6:30pm - 7:30pm Locations: Maryland City at Russett Community Library Details:

      Navajo Code Talkers are famous for using their language to protect U.S. Marines Corps radio messages during World War ll. Learn how the U.S. military took advantage of the unique languages of Native Americans to secure voice communications.

    • Transportation Commission Meeting Time: 6:30pm - 8:00pm Locations: 2664 Riva Road, Heritage Complex, Annapolis, MD 21401 - Independence Room at 2664 Riva Road Details:
      The meetings are held in the Independence Room at: 2664 Riva Road, on the first floor, Annapolis, MD 21401.
      For those of you who have not been to them, there is an outside entrance and it will have blue awnings over the door and ramp/walkway, this is the Independence Room.
      These meetings will start at 6:30 PM until usually about 8:00 PM, unless there are a lot of Agenda items or a lot of discussions, then it may go past 8:00 PM.

      The Police Community Relations Council meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m.  The Anne Arundel County Police-Community Relations Council (PCRC) is a voluntary, independent, self-constituted advisory body.

      Dennis Whigham is a Senior Botanist at Smithsonian Environmental Research Center. In recent years, studies of interactions between orchids and fungi have lead in new and exciting directions.  He will discuss his research and current passion, to establish the North American Orchid Conservation Center (NAOCC). Walk-ins welcome.
