    • Estate Planning Workshop Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm Locations: Arnold Senior Activity Center 44 Church Road Arnold, MD 21012 Details: The topic of this seminar will be an overview of estate and disability planning and why it is important for you and your family. The presenter will discuss the various ways assets pass upon death, the difference between a Last Will and Testament and a Revocable Living Trust, and the importance of a Durable Financial Power of Attorney as well as a Health Care Power of Attorney and Living Will. The probate process in Maryland and estate planning pitfalls to avoid will be discussed. The presentation will be followed by a brief question and answer session. The presentation will be given on behalf of the Financial Education Foundation of Anne Arundel County, a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing trustworthy financial education to the Anne Arundel Community.

    • Bay Crossing Study Open House Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm Locations: Annapolis High School 2700 Riva Rd. Annapolis, MD 21401 Details:

      The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) is holding the last of the fall 2019 open houses for the Chesapeake Bay Crossing Study: Tier 1 NEPA (Bay Crossing Study).


      Open House attendees will learn about:

      • the environmental review process for the Bay Crossing Study,
      • the overall study schedule,
      • public comments received to date, and
      • the alternatives development, screening process and results.

      The same information exhibited at prior fall 2019 Bay Crossing Study Open Houses will be provided and staff will be available to answer questions. There will not be a formal presentation. Public comments are encouraged at the open house and on the project website baycrossingstudy.comProject information and Open House materials also are available at this web site.
