Daily July 1- August 31, 2019. Search the library for picture clues and decode the secret message. Everyone earns a prize.
At the following Anne Arundel County libraries: Severna Park, Discoveries: The Library At The Mall, Broadneck, Brooklyn Park, Crofton, Deale, Eastport-Annapolis Neck, Edgewater, Edgewater, Edgewater, Glen Burnie, Maryland City at Russett, Mountain Road, Linthicum, Odenton, Riviera Beach, Severn and Severna Park.
Weekly Rabies & Microchip Clinic Time: 9:00a - 12:00p Location: 411 Maxwell Frye Road Millersville, MD 21108 Details:
Low cost rabies vaccinations and microchip implantations are available every Thursday (except holidays) for a period of 3 hours at Anne Arundel County Animal Care & Control. Times are dependent on the season and we do have some clinics with special hours. The veterinarian leaves promptly at the end time for the clinic. Depending on the length of the line, Animal Care & Control may conclude the line at an appropriate time to ensure all individuals remaining in line receive the services.
Please note clinics are weather permitting and may be canceled for high temperatures, low temperatures, precipitation, air quality or any other factors that may increase risks to citizens or animals at the outdoor clinic.
Dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in carriers.
Paint and Sip Time: 10:00a - 10:30a Location: Annapolis Senior Activity Center 119 S. Villa Ave., Annapolis Details: Diane Gilligan will be doing a paint workshop open for all levels. Refreshments will be provided. Space is limited. Sign up begins 8/1/19.
Charles Taylor and the Availables Time: 12:30p - 1:00p Location: Pascal Senior Activity Center 125 Dorsey Road Glen Burnie, MD 21061 Details: Charles Taylor and his band the Availables will be here on Thursday, August 22nd at 12:30. The Availables play a great variety of jazz, big band, Motown and doo-wop favorites. Mr. Taylor and his band always entertain and have us dancing and grooving to the music!

Beverly Triton Nature Park Shoreline Protection Public Meeting Time: 7:00p - 8:30p Location: Edgewater Library 25 Stepneys Lane, Edgewater, MD 21037 Details: A public meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., at the Edgewater Library to present the proposed Beverly Triton Nature Park shoreline protection. The meeting will focus specifically on plans to protect the shoreline from erosion, a major component of the Mayo Parks Master Plan process.
Department of Recreation and Parks and DPW officials will present information on the proposed shoreline improvements, and will also answer questions from those in attendance.

No Discharge Zone Petition: Public Meeting Time: 7:00p - 8:00p Location: Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Department located at 161 Ritchie Highway Severna Park, MD 21146 Details: Anne Arundel County and the City of Annapolis are collecting public comments before submitting a petition to the State of Maryland and the Environmental Protection Agency regarding no discharge zones. If approved, the petition would make it illegal to discharge treated wastewater from a vessel into the tidal tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay. Instead, boaters would be required to discharge treated wastewater only at collection points. The City of Annapolis and the Office of the County Executive will have staff at this meeting to collect feedback on the plan.
