    • Zentangle Workshop Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm Locations: South County Senior Activity Center 27 Stepneys Lane Edgewater, MD 21037 Details: Zentangle basics & watercolor exploration – Start or continue your Zentangle journey with an elegantly simple drawing technique, inspiring creativity and mindfulness. No previous art experience is needed to learn the basic steps of Zentangle. Through the exploration of patterns, taught one step at a time, create nondirectional, non-representational works of art. As part of this session, we will explore watercolor as strings and create hidden meaning in a composition personalized by you! If you have previously taken Zentangle workshops at the center, please bring your kit from that class. There will be an additional $2.00 supply fee if you have a kit. For newcomers, supply fee is $12.00. Sign up at the front desk.
       
       
    • Living Well Chronic Disease Self-Management Time: 9:30am - 12:00pm Locations: Brooklyn Park Senior Activity Center 202 Hammonds Lane Brooklyn Park, MD 21225 Details: This FREE 6-week Chronic Disease Self-Management Program helps those who have been diagnosed with chronic health issues such as heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, asthma, depression, or any other physical or mental health conditions. This workshop teaches participants the self-management skills of action planning, problem solving and decision making. In addition, participants will learn about healthy eating, suggested modes of exercise, and how to manage stress levels. This workshop will meet at the senior center on Tuesday mornings from February 25 – March 31, from 9:30-12:00. Call 410-222-4368 to register.
       
       
    • Balance Screening Time: 10:30am - 11:30am Locations: Annapolis Senior Activity Center 119 S. Villa Ave., Annapolis Details: A Physical Therapist from Annapolis FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Center will be at the Senior Center to offer balance testing to determine your risk of falling. There will be education on preventing falls and resources available if you would like to receive physical therapy to strengthen your body, improve your balance, reduce your dizziness, and improve your overall wellness!
       
       
    • Crafts with Scott Time: 11:00am - 12:00pm Locations: Arnold Senior Activity Center 44 Church Road Arnold, MD 21012 Details: Come join Scott on Tuesday mornings at 11:00 to make beautiful and creative crafts!       To present information regarding the scope of the project, the schedule, the various charges and fees which will be levied against the abutting properties and provide property owners the opportunity to present their views and pose any questions they may have. Persons wishing to make formal statements on the project may do so in person at the meeting, or may submit their views in writing to: Customer Relations, Department of Public Works, 2662 Riva Road, MS-7400, Annapolis, MD 21401. The meeting Record will remain open for two weeks.
       
      Due to school closure or inclement weather the meeting  will be postponed and rescheduled.
