    • Winter Lecture Series: African American Experience Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm Locations: Historic London Town and Gardens Details:

      Each Saturday, learn from a noted scholar about the African American experience in the Chesapeake region. Speakers include:

      February 16- Historical Character Interpretation: Connecting the Dots 
      Brenda Parker will show how to create a more complete "story" of African American people in the past using whatever resources are available.​​

      February 23- Topic will be announced soon! 
      Janice Hayes-Williams is an expert on African American history in the Annapolis area, and is currently with the Office of the County Executive in Consituent Services & Community Engagement.​

      $12 for adults, $10 for seniors. Free for members.

      Improve your reading skills by reading to a therapy dog. Please call the Broadneck Community Library (410-222-1905) to register for a 15-minute time slot. Registrations will start two weeks prior to event date.
