    • Sawmill Workshop Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm Locations: Kinder Farm Park Details:

      Weather permitting, Kinder Farm Park's very own Sawmill Club will be running logs through the mill. Wood milled from the sawmill can be seen around Kinder Farm park, including inside the Tobacco Barn Museum and Visitor Center.

      Antique Equipment and Sawmill Club’s mission is the restoration and display of the park’s antique farm equipment, tractors and sawmill. Our goal is to offer presentations and displays of antique farm tools and equipment so that those participating can experience farm life in historical Anne Arundel County. The lumber from the sawmill is used in many of the small barns and other structures in the park.

      Join Edgewater Library for a special screening of Bates High School: Center for Excellence:

      Memories of Bates’ Teachers (2018). Fifteen former teachers of Wiley H. Bates High School tell its story from its opening in 1933 to its closing 1966, soon af- ter desegregation. The only secondary school for Afri- can Americans in the county as far north as Brooklyn Park and as far south as Friendship, “Bates was the hub for the African American community.” Spon- sored by Kunta Kinte – Alex Haley Foundation.

      Make a craft and we will donate it to someone in need. Count the time toward your required volunteer service hours for school.

    • Police Community Relations Council Meeting Time: 7:30pm - 8:30pm Locations: Police Northern District Details:

      The Police Community Relations Council meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30 p.m.  The Anne Arundel County Police-Community Relations Council (PCRC) is a voluntary, independent, self-constituted advisory body.
