Winter Weather Preparedness. The free 45 minute presentation will include: Description of the winter weather Anne Arundel County may experience; Discussion of National Weather Service weather categories and alerting; How to prepare yourself and your family for any emergency; Pet preparedness; How to prepare your home and car for winter weather; Handling power outages; and What to do after the storm Visitors who complete the presentation will receive free emergency preparedness handout materials. What: As the government shutdown lingers on, executives from the Baltimore metro area will ask that the president and leaders of both houses of Congress end this shutdown. The executives will discuss the concerns they are hearing from their constituents and resources each jurisdiction has available for those affected. Additionally, they will discuss the impact the shutdown is having on their jurisdictions.
