    • Meals on Wheels Information Table Time: 9:00am - 11:00am Locations: South County Senior Activity Center 27 Stepneys Lane Edgewater, MD 21037 Details: Stop by the Meals on Wheels information table in the lobby to speak to Julie Hollander, Senior Director of Volunteer Services, about their programs, including their new Grocery Assistance Program, as well as volunteer opportunities that are available.
       
       
    • Sawmill Workshop Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm Locations: Kinder Farm Park Details:

      Weather permitting, Kinder Farm Park's very own Sawmill Club will be running logs through the mill. Wood milled from the sawmill can be seen around Kinder Farm park, including inside the Tobacco Barn Museum and Visitor Center.

      Antique Equipment and Sawmill Club’s mission is the restoration and display of the park’s antique farm equipment, tractors and sawmill. Our goal is to offer presentations and displays of antique farm tools and equipment so that those participating can experience farm life in historical Anne Arundel County. The lumber from the sawmill is used in many of the small barns and other structures in the park.

    • Preschool Storytime Time: 10:30am - 11:30am Locations: Linthicum Community Library Details: Children ages three to five (with caring adult) build the early literacy skills needed for
      school readiness through engaging books, songs and activities.
       
       
    • Birthday Celebrations Time: 12:00pm - 12:30pm Locations: South County Senior Activity Center 27 Stepneys Lane Edgewater, MD 21037 Details: Join us for cake and ice cream to celebrate January birthdays. All are welcome.
       
       
    • Book Club Time: 12:00pm - 1:00pm Locations: Pasadena Senior Activity Center 4103 Mountain Road Pasadena, MD 21122 Details: Come join us for the Book Club. In conjunction with the AACPLS we will be meeting to discuss the book Room on Rue Amelie by Kristin Hannah. Please register at the front desk.
       
       
    • Book Club Time: 12:00pm - 1:00pm Locations: Arnold Senior Activity Center 44 Church Road Arnold, MD 21012 Details: This month’s meeting will be an “open discussion”. The February 5th meeting will be the discussion of “Brenda’s Path: A Journey of Self-Discovery” by Barbara J. Davis. We hope to see many new faces as we get into the “dead” of winter!
       
       
    • Social Services Respite Program Time: 12:30pm - 2:30pm Locations: South County Senior Activity Center 27 Stepneys Lane Edgewater, MD 21037 Details: If you or a family member is caring for an individual who has a functional or developmental disability, you may be eligible for the Anne Arundel County Department of Social Services’ Respite Care Program. The program will assist in funding respite care services, up to 164 hours or 14 days of short term temporary care, to family caregivers of adults and children with disabilities in order to provide a period of rest and renewal. Come learn about the eligibility requirements and how to apply. Free Lunch Provided. Sign up at the front desk.
       
       
    • Recreation Advisory Board Meeting Time: 5:00pm - 7:00pm Locations: Recreation and Parks Headquarters Details:

      Recreation Advisory Board meets on the first Wednesday of that month at Recreation and Parks, 1 Harry S. Truman Parkway in Annapolis from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Individuals wishing to make a presentation before the Board should call the Director's Office at (410) 222-7867 in advance of the next meeting.

    • Planning Advisory Board Meeting Time: 6:00pm - 8:30pm Locations: Chesapeake Room, Second Floor, Heritage Office Complex, 2664 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD. Details: The Planning Advisory Board (PAB) makes advisory recommendations to the Planning and Zoning Officer and the County Council relating to the Master Plan, the zoning maps, and rules and regulations relating to zoning.

    • Transportation Commission Meeting Time: 6:30pm - 8:00pm Locations: 2664 Riva Road, Heritage Complex, Annapolis, MD 21401 - Independence Room at 2664 Riva Road Details:
      The meetings are held in the Independence Room at: 2664 Riva Road, on the first floor, Annapolis, MD 21401.
       
      For those of you who have not been to them, there is an outside entrance and it will have blue awnings over the door and ramp/walkway, this is the Independence Room.
       
      These meetings will start at 6:30 PM until usually about 8:00 PM, unless there are a lot of Agenda items or a lot of discussions, then it may go past 8:00 PM.
       
       
       
    • Police Community Relations Council Meeting Time: 7:00pm - 8:30pm Locations: Police Western District Details:

      The Police Community Relations Council meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m.  The Anne Arundel County Police-Community Relations Council (PCRC) is a voluntary, independent, self-constituted advisory body.
