The topic of this seminar will be an overview of estate and disability planning and why it is important for you and your family. The presenter will discuss the various ways assets pass upon death, the difference between a Last Will and Testament and a Revocable Living Trust, and the importance of a Durable Financial Power of Attorney as well as a Health Care Power of Attorney and Living Will. The probate process in Maryland and estate planning pitfalls to avoid will be discussed. The presentation will be followed by a brief question and answer session. The presentation will be given on behalf of the Financial Education Foundation of Anne Arundel County, a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing trustworthy financial education to the Anne Arundel Community.
