Fifth Annual Joshua Roach Memorial Golf Tournament

Fri. Sep 21, 2018 7:30am - 3:00pm
Compass Pointe Golf Course, 9010 Fort Smallwood Road, Pasadena, MD 21122
Josh Roach spent most of his life as a resident of Anne Arundel County. And Anne Arundel County sports were a large part of his life. He played soccer, football, basketball and baseball for the Crofton Cardinals, with baseball being his favorite. Many of his lifelong friendships were formed on the ball fields. Josh received his degree in Sports Management from Shepherd University and after working for a short time in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, he returned home to Anne Arundel County where he worked as a Sports Supervisor for the Department of Recreation and Parks. Upon his return from North Carolina he developed a LOVE for the game of golf.

With the Joshua Roach Memorial Golf Tournament we are honoring Josh and his memory by gathering to remember the friendships, the joy (and frustration) of the game and to help support Recreation Deeds for Special Needs. We will remember Josh. We will remember how much he loved a good day on the golf course and we will remind ourselves of all the smart aleck remarks he would make when a shot was missed. We will remember great times with a special man who left us all too soon. We know that he would not like the attention placed on him, but we also know that he would enjoy everyone being together to play his favorite sport.
