Yoga Nidra - Arnold Senior Center
Yoga Nidra means yogic sleep and studies have shown that the degree of relaxation achievable through this method is much deeper than regular sleep. To prepare the body for yoga Nidra participants will be guided through a few limbering and loosening movements that can be done in a chair or on the floor. You then lay back and listen while you are guided systematically through increasingly deep levels of physical relaxation. As tension melts away, the body regains its natural state of wellness, and the mind enters that pre-dream state between sleep and consciousness.
