This lecture will explore the fight for the right to vote for women: Beginning in Seneca Falls, New York in the 1800’s until it became the 19th amendment to the Constitution in 1920. It will explore the women who were the leaders such as Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony. The lecture will include reasons why it took so long; how it was achieved and the obstacles faced.
