COVID-19 Operating Status

Avoid non-essential visits to the County Landfill and Recycling Centers

  • Face masks or coverings are required outside in public spaces when you cannot keep 6 feet away from others who are not in your immediate household.
  • ONLY bring waste that requires immediate disposal.
  • Use curbside collection for household recyclables, yard waste, and bagged trash; avoid putting out old furniture, mattresses, or similar bulk items.
  • Wait until after State restrictions are lifted to bring us material that can't be collected curbside.

Textile Program Suspension

Effective July 21, 2020, recycling of clothing, linens and other textiles at County Recycling Centers is temporarily suspended due to COVID-19. For additional information, please contact our Customer Service Team at (410) 222-6100, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday- Friday.

Plastic Bag, Wrap, and Film Recycling Program - Temporarily Suspended

As of June 4, 2020 The Plastic Bag, Wrap, and Film Recycling Program has been temporarily suspended.

From Route 32, take the exit for Burns Crossing Road to the traffic light. At this traffic light, turn right on to Burns Crossing Road. Travel approximately 1/4 mile to another traffic light at Pascal Blvd; this is the entrance to the landfill portion of the facility. Continue on Burns Crossing Road approximately 100 yards and turn right into the entrance of the Central Recycling Center.
