Mayo Beach Park is available to rent for weddings and non-profit events
Facilities include an enclosed glass pavilion with balcony, indoor and outdoor bathrooms, an outdoor bar area, picnic tables, patio, beach area, a playground, and open fields for tents/sports/open play. A bridal suite is also available for an additional cost. All of this sits on the mouth of the South River in Edgewater Maryland with views of the Thomas Point Lighthouse.

- 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Events: 7 days a week
- Weddings: weekends only
- 100 attendee maximum, including vendors
- Only available for rent to not-for-profit groups and individuals
- Park is shared with the public

- Tables and chairs for outdoor and indoor usage.
- Trash and bathroom services during your event.

Package 1 - Wedding
100 attendee maximum – including vendors
$2,500 Total Fee which includes:
- 8 concurrent hours of event time
- $250 for each additional hour
- Bridal suite
- Table & chairs
- Trash and bathroom service
- $500 non-refundable deposit
Package 2 - Wedding & Rehearsal
100 attendee maximum – including vendors
$2,900 Total Fee which includes:
- 8 concurrent hours day of event
- $250 for each additional hour
- 4 concurrent hours on the day before for set-up and/or rehearsal (no rehearsal dinners)
- Bridal suite
- Table & chairs
- Trash and bathroom service
- $500 non-refundable deposit
Cancellation Policy
Any request for cancellation must be received at least 2 months prior to the event in order to be considered for a refund. All refunds will be reviewed on a case by case basis. The initial deposit is nonrefundable. Dates reserved for an event or wedding may only be changed once. That date change cannot exceed 6 months from the original event or wedding date and is subject to availability.
Venue Tours
- All venue tours must be scheduled ahead with the venue coordinator. Please call 410-222-2562 or email rphall23@aacounty.org to schedule a tour.
- All tours are limited to one hour and should be for planning purposes only.
- Venue Tours may be limited to certain days per week.
- A tour checklist will be completed by each renter and is considered a binding document between renter and the venue.
Rental Deposit/Payments
- Payments are made online through Anne Arundel County's ActiveNet system. An account will be created for you after applying.
- You are welcome to make incremental payments up to one month before your event date.
- Your final payment is due one month before your event date.
- If payment is not received at the time it is due, your event will be forfeited and no refunds will be issued.
- Rental deposits along with a rental application are required for securing an event date.
- Rental deposits are non-refundable.
Insurance and Indemnity
- Commercial Groups using the facilities at Mayo Beach Park must obtain a Certificate of General Liability in the amount of $1,000,000 listing the respective organization as the “Insured” and reflect the following statement “Anne Arundel County Maryland, Officers, Agents and Employees are additionally insured.”
- Definition of Commercial groups shall include all business organizations, including Labor Unions, which are not recognized as tax-exempt organizations under the U.S. Internal Revenue Code.
- The chief executive official of all corporations and associations desiring to use Mayo Beach Park facilities shall execute, on behalf of that corporation or association and its members, an indemnity agreement whereby said officer agrees to indemnify ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY MARYLAND to the full extent of any judgment or claim arising out of the use of Mayo Beach Park. In those instances where a family group desires to use said facilities, then the senior family spokesperson/spouse shall execute said indemnity agreement.
- All noncommercial groups (i.e., churches, family groups, civic organizations, etc.) shall sign, as a condition of use, a waiver of liability and indemnity agreement holding ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY MARYLAND harmless from all bodily injuries, including death, arising out of the lawful use of the Mayo Beach Park facilities.
Cancellations
- Any request for cancellation of reservation must be received at least 2 months prior to the event in order to be considered for a refund. All refunds will be reviewed on a case by case basis. The initial deposit is non-refundable. We recommend that you obtain event insurance in case of unexpected cancellations.
- All dates reserved can only be changed once. That date change cannot exceed 6 months from the original event date.
- Events that are misrepresented will be canceled up to and including the day of the event. NO refunds. Park staff reserves the right to close the gates, cancel the event and rental agreement or limit entrance if attendance or event is misrepresented.
- Commercial promotional activities are prohibited. No “For Profit” tickets sold or payments received onsite.
- If external factors force the venue to close and cancel your event, your deposit will be returned.
Non-Compliance
- Any non-compliance with the articles of agreement, venue tour agreement, park rules and regs, or your contract will result in either the immediate termination of your event, additional charges for damages, and/or revoke the privilege to rent the venue in the future. No refunds will be granted for non-compliance. Terms are subject to change.
- Non-compliance will be evaluated on a case to case basis.
