The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will implement ramp management programs in the Broadneck area of Anne Arundel County and Stevensville in Queen Anne’s County this spring and summer. These seasonal traffic control measures are intended to help facilitate traffic flow and ease congestion on weekends during peak spring and summer travel times. The ramp management programs also encourage traffic to remain on US 50 (John Hanson Highway/Ocean Gateway) and off community roads. The measure helps facilitate the movement of first responders in the event of an emergency.
On the Broadneck Peninsula in Anne Arundel County, drivers can expect periodic, temporary closures of the Oceanic Drive (exit 32) ramps to eastbound US 50/US 301 approaching the Chesapeake Bay Bridge beginning May 16 through Sunday, September 6.
Ramps from Oceanic Drive onto eastbound US 50/US 301 will be closed from 10 a.m. on Thursdays to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
