Before You Submit
This portal is used for damage assessment and situational awareness. Submitting a report:
- Does not replace contacting your insurance company.
- Does not guarantee financial assistance, reimbursement, debris removal, repairs, or other services.
- Is not a request for emergency response.
- Does not replace reports to utility companies, public works agencies, or law enforcement.
For emergencies or immediate threats to life or safety, call 911.
Report downed power lines, power outages, gas odors, or other utility emergencies directly to the appropriate utility provider.
You may use this form to report damage involving:
- Homes, apartments, and residential structures
- Businesses and commercial properties
- Garages, sheds, fences, and other structure
- Vehicles located on private property
- Trees or debris that damaged private property
- Flooding or water damage
- Wind, hail, lightning, or severe-weather damage
- Fire or smoke damage associated with the incident
Please provide as much information as possible, including:
- The address or location of the damaged property
- Your contact information
- The type and extent of the damage
- Whether the property is safe to occupy
- Whether utilities have been disrupted
- Whether you have contacted your insurance provider
- Photographs showing the damage and surrounding area
Clear photographs can help damage assessment teams understand the severity of the impact. Do not enter damaged buildings, approach downed power lines, walk through floodwater, or place yourself in danger to take photographs.
Select the category that best describes the condition of the primary structure:
- Affected: Minor cosmetic or limited damage. The property remains safe and usable
- Minor Damage: Damage requires repairs but does not significantly affect the structural integrity of the building
- Major Damage: Significant structural damage has occurred, and the property may not be safe or usable without substantial repairs.
- Destroyed: The structure is a total loss or has been damaged beyond reasonable repair.
- Inaccessible: The property cannot be safely reached or evaluated because of debris, flooding, road closures, downed utilities, or another hazard.
If you are unsure which category applies, select the closest option and describe the damage in the comments section.
- Do not enter a building that appears unstable or has been declared unsafe.
- Stay away from downed wires and assume all wires are energized.
- Do not drive or walk through flooded roadways or standing water.
- If you smell natural gas, leave the area immediately and call 911 and your gas utility from a safe location.
- Use generators outdoors and at least 20 feet away from doors, windows, vents, and occupied structures. Never operate a generator inside a home, garage, basement, shed, or enclosed area.
Contact your insurance company as soon as possible. Take photographs or video before beginning cleanup when it is safe to do so, and keep receipts for temporary repairs, lodging, cleanup, and replacement items.
Property owners are generally responsible for cleanup and repairs on private property unless a specific government assistance program is announced.
Your report will be reviewed as part of the County’s damage assessment process. County staff may contact you if additional information or property verification is needed.
Submitting multiple reports for the same property may delay review. Submit an updated report only when the damage has significantly changed or additional information becomes available.
