    • Stream Water Chemistry Time: 9:30am - 12:00pm Locations: Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary Details:

      This is offered in three (3) separate sessions: 12/17 and 12/18 from 9:30am to 12:00pm, and 12/18 from 1:00pm to 3:30pm.

      Join our Stream Water Chemistry volunteer team to conduct field tests on dissolved oxygen content, and other parameters, at important streams feeding Jug Bay. Water samples are also collected for lab analysis. This is a great way to learn how to use professional equipment, see the park, and become involved in habitat monitoring efforts. Free. Must be 18 to volunteer without a guardian. Current health guidelines will be required. Registration required.

    • Animal Tracks Hike Time: 10:00am - 11:00am Locations: South River Farm Park Details: Join a ranger and learn how to track many different species of animals in the upland forests of Maryland. This is a beginner program that will introduce the novice to an age long tradition. Wear shoes you don’t mind getting muddy and dress for the weather.     • Art Exhibition @ Quiet Waters Park Time: 10:00am - 4:00pm Locations: Quiet Waters Park Details:

      Form and Fabric

      The opening will be held on Nov 21 from 1:30 - 3:30 pm in the Willow Gallery of the Visitor Center. The park entrance fee will be waived for the reception only. All items may be removed upon purchase, creating an excellent opportunity for holiday shopping.

      The following artists will be participating:

      Chesapeake Weavers: textiles, dyed clothing and accessories

      Chesapeake Woodturners: handmade wooden items

      Garage Art: pottery

      Ardythe Jolliff: note cards

      Joan Machinchick: paintings, calendars and calligraphy

      Donna Schramek: soft sculpture

      Liz Sork: hand-painted glasses

      Annette Uroskie: paintings and photographs.
