Fishing at Lake Waterford Park

lake

Shoreline fishing is permitted at Lake Waterford Park. Come enjoy the beauty of the lake while casting a line! Fishing in the park is regulated by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. A Maryland Freshwater fishing license is required for fishing in non-tidal waters for all anglers 16 and older. A fishing license can be obtained at most local bait and tackle shops and local Walmart stores.

You must follow all creel limits when fishing at Lake Waterford Park, and abide by all Department of Natural Resources regulations. Learn more about rules and regulations here.

Fishing is prohibited in the protected wildlife area just south of the spillway - this is strictly enforced by park rangers.
