Beginning FRIDAY, JULY 24, 2020

  • Social gatherings, indoors, of more than 25 people or outdoors of more than 50 people are prohibited.
    • “Social gatherings” include, but are not limited to, parties, cookouts, concerts or performances, parades, festivals, conventions, fundraisers, and other gatherings that are not associated with operating or patronizing a business. 
    • “Social gatherings” do not include gatherings at retail stores, offices, restaurants, fraternal social clubs, youth sports, or casinos, or gatherings for religious or spiritual purposes on the premises of a religious or spiritual facility.
  • Please see the Department of Recreation and Parks updates on the operation of facilities and summer camps below.  We thank you for your patience and cooperation throughout these unprecedented times.
     
  • In an effort to keep residents, patrons and staff safe and healthy the Department of Recreation and Parks announced on July 23, 2020 that the Arundel Olympic Swim Center in Annapolis and the North Arundel Aquatic Center in Glen Burnie, will remain closed until further notice.    

As of Saturday, July 18, 2020 - Regional parks entry fees will be reinstated on Saturdays and Sundays. 

  • The daily entrance fee is $6.00 and annual passes are $30.
  • Senior passes and lifetime military passes will be honored, as usual.
  • ALL Visitor's Centers are still closed  - The County Regional parks are:
    • Quiet Waters Park - 600 Quiet Waters Park Rd, Annapolis
      Kinder Farm Park - 1001 Kinder Farm Park Rd, Millersville
      Downs Park - 8311 John Downs Loop, Pasadena
      Fort Smallwood Park - 9500 Fort Smallwood Rd, Pasadena (boat ramp fees are separate from entry fees)
      Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary - 1361 Wrighton Road, Lothian, MD 20711

  • North County and South County Recreation Centers are open for scheduled programs.

Fort Smallwood Park -  Boaters must follow current social distancing requirements.  The CDC recommended social distancing guidelines should be practiced at all times by the public while using the boat ramp facility. Please stay at least 6' apart while launching your vessel and while on the ramp's docks. All park and boat ramp rules and regulations are enforced. The boat ramp is open for launching from 5:30 AM until one hour prior to the posted park closing time. Please be prepared for intermittent boat ramp closures in anticipation of increased ramp usage.
