Anne Arundel County has completed a draft of the 2022 Land Preservation, Parks and Recreation Plan (LPPRP). This plan acts as a countywide master plan for land preservation, recreational programming, park acquisition, and facility development. Your comments are essential!

Before the County Council formally adopts the LPPRP, the public is being asked to review the draft plan.

The updated LPPRP will serve as a guide for land conservation and parks and recreation planning, park development, program improvements, and decision making in Anne Arundel County.
The Department of Recreation and Parks hosted two virtual Town Hall meetings to present the draft 2022 Land Preservation, Parks and Recreation Plan (LPPRP) and receive citizen comments. The Plan evaluates the demand for parklands and recreational facilities based on need, proximity, and equity and outlines goals and priorities for the next five, ten, and fifteen years.
