Glass Bottles and Jars

Description:

Glass bottles and jars (of any color, shape, or size) that previously contained food or a beverage. 

Items not accepted include: Window glass, mirrors, light bulbs, Pyrex®, ovenware dishes, ceramic and porcelain dishes, crystal glassware, drinking glasses, candle jars, holders or votives, food, liquids, bags (paper or plastic), and cosmetic or perfume bottles. 

 

Preparation Instructions:

a)  All containers must be clean. Pour out all liquids and wipe or rinse out all food containers.
b)  Separate containers into 3 color groups: clear, brown, and all other colors.
c)  Lids and labels are okay and do not have to be removed.

** Still accepted in curbside recycling.  Customers may continue to place with other paper, plastic, and metal in a yellow recycling container or reusable container of your choice marked with an “X” on all sides visible to the curbside collection crew.
