Fluorescent tubes, compact fluorescent (CFL) bulbs, and other mercury-containing items are only accepted for recycling during a household hazardous waste (HHW) drop-off event. Click here for the event schedule or information on other HHW items accepted.

In addition, both Home Depot ® and Lowes ® offer free recycling of unbroken CFLs at all of their stores nationwide (No tubes or ballasts accepted. Program is for residential material only). Click to find a CFL return location in your area.
