DPW&YOU - Know Before You Throw

Know Before You Throw
On your once-a-week collection day, Waste Management Services sends three trucks through your neighborhood to pick up recycling, trash and yard waste. Before placing your containers and items at the curb, know the accepted materials for each to help us get everything collected efficiently.

Did you
know?
To maintain our environmental sustainability, yard waste is no longer accepted in plastic bags. Be sure to throw your leaves, grass clippings, trees and brush into a standard kraft paper yard waste bag or container marked with an “X.”
