The Office of Finance serves many different customers. Our customers include residents, businesses, other County agencies, taxpayers, homeowners, County employees, retirees, bond holders, and investors.

Providing excellent customer service, is a key goal in the Office of Finance's Mission Statement and includes giving compassionate, friendly and efficient service at all times. The purpose of this web site is to assist our customers to quickly find current and accurate information; however, we continue to encourage phone calls, correspondence or in-person visits to the Office of Finance to resolve any issues or take care of business. 

Bill and Tax Payment Information

  • Pay Online

    Online Bill and Tax Payment System

    The County online bill payment option allows you to view your bill and make payments online at your convenience. We accept credit card and eCheck payments and all online payments are subject to convenience fees. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Visa Wallet.

    Pay one or several bills with a single transaction or schedule payments for a future date. After you submit the payment, it will show as pending and appear on your account within two business days. You will receive a confirmation number for your records.

    • Credit cards accepted include Visa / MasterCard / American Express / Discover/ Visa Wallet.
    • Credit card and eChecks are processed through Value Payment Systems.
  • Pay By Mail

    Enclose your bill payment stub and a check or money order, and mail in the pre-addressed envelope provided with your bill.  Do not send cash through the mail.

    When paying by check or money order, please make payable to Anne Arundel County.

  • Drop Boxes
    Yellow drop boxes are available at each of the County cashier locations for your convenience. You can drop your payment in the drop box quickly and conveniently.  Check and money order payments are accepted. Please do not place cash in the drop boxes. Payments are processed by the cashier’s office, so please allow 1-2 days for processing.
  • Walk-in Payment

    Bill and Tax Payment Information Notice

    Customers may use any of our three cashier locations to make a payment in person. The cashiers accept cash, check or money orders. The cashiers are available to assist you.

    When paying by check or money order please make payable to Anne Arundel County. Click on the link for locations.

    You may also make online credit card or eCheck payments on the touchscreen kiosk in the lobby. Convenience fees will be applied to your payments. The cashiers are available to assist you.
  • Bank AutoPay
    Your bank or financial institution may offer access through its website to make bill payments. Check with your bank or financial institution for this convenient payment option.
  • Pay by Mobile
    You can and pay your bill online via mobile phone at your convenience by credit card and eCheck. All mobile payments are subject to convenience feesClick on the blue link for additional information.

  • Questions regarding Real Estate Property Tax, Personal Property Tax, Front Foot Assessment, and Water and Sewer bills can be directed to our customer service representatives by calling (410) 222-1144 during normal hours of operation (Monday-Friday 8am to 4:30pm EST) or by filling out our online Customer Service Form. We will get back to you with an answer to your inquiry.
  • Questions regarding Utility Allocation requirements can be directed to the Department of Public Works by calling (410) 222-7509. Stop by our lobby for assistance.
  • You may also speak with a Customer Service Representative in person at our 44 Calvert Street location.
