It’s a Snow Day in Anne Arundel County

School is closed on January 31, 2022!  What are you going to do?

The Anne Arundel County Youth Corps has an idea. Sleep in, have a hearty breakfast, then join us at the county’s Office of Emergency Management in Glen Burnie for a fun afternoon of activities related to winter weather.

Snowday Update

Although COVID cases are steadily declining, our goal is to keep everyone safe and healthy when participating in County programs. Therefore, we have decreased capacity for this event from 50 to 26. There are a few spots available so, if you are interested, register now using the button below. If no tickets are available at the time you register, email us and we can add you to a waiting list.

The event is FREE and open to 26 youth enrolled in middle or high school in Anne Arundel County. Private and homeschooled students are welcome to attend as well.

  • You will experience what happens during a winter storm and try your hand at managing a natural disaster.
  • You will meet County Executive Pittman for a Q&A. What burning questions do you have for him?
  • You will also have the chance to help people stay warm this winter as well as win some cool swag.
  • We will provide KN-95 or similar quality masks and hand sanitizer for each participant. Masks will be required inside the buildings.

You do not have to be a member of the Youth Corps to participate. Registrants will receive a detailed confirmation letter with information on parking, what to wear, and what to bring. We look forward to seeing you!

Register now because only a handful of seats are available!
