Area Plan Public Input Survey

The Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities is conducting this survey to collect your opinions about what matters most to the older adults, individuals with disabilities, and caregivers in our County. Responses will guide the Department’s Area Plan on Aging and help determine the programs and services offered.

Please answer the following questions, which do not ask for your name or other identifying information. This survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Below is an overview of the services offered by the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities. Please let us know if there are services you feel are a priority which are not listed below, or if you have any other input for the Department of Aging and Disabilities on how we can best meet the needs of older adults, individuals with disabilities, family caregivers and those wishing to plan for their future.

Information on programs and services available, and help connecting to the assistance that best meets your needs
· Assistance with navigating housing and transportation options
· Senior Activity Centers (now offered as daily “R.O.V.E.R.S.” virtual Senior Center programming online and on cable TV due to COVID-19)
· Home-delivered meals and community meals
· Health education classes
· Help understanding your Medicare options
· Family caregiver support groups, education and respite grants
· Grandparents raising grandchildren: Grants to help pay for camp, school supplies, etc.
· Alzheimer’s disease and dementia education
· Taxi voucher coupons
· Case management
· In-home help with personal care, chores, etc.
· Advocacy for residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities
· Daily phone-based safety checks
· Americans with Disabilities Act Office
