Sergio Polanco

As Hispanic Latino Multicultural Affairs Officer, Sergio reports to the County Executive and provides oversight and support to immigrant communities. Mr. Polanco works cross-culturally to engage diverse community members with the goal of identifying and presenting community needs to county government agencies. Additionally, as Multicultural Affairs Officer, he works with representatives from other departments to develop and implement targeted outreach strategies to multicultural/multilingual communities and support cultural programs that highlight the diversity and multiculturalism of Anne Arundel County.

Mr. Polanco is also the host of “Foro Comunitario Virtual,” a Spanish-language virtual program on the Anne Arundel County Facebook page. He interviews bilingual guests such as healthcare professionals, business owners, and government officials that have a social, economic and cultural impact on our community.
