Local Workforce Development Board

The Anne Arundel County Local Workforce Development Board (LWDB), which was established as part of the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), sets priorities for, and exercises oversight over, workforce development activities funded under WIOA.

General Info

The Local Workforce Development Board also focuses on local programs and services that address the increasing countywide demand for an appropriately trained and prepared workforce. The Workforce Development Board is composed of local businesspersons, who are appointed by the County Executive, and representatives from various partner agencies whose mission includes workforce development activities and services.

The twenty-five member Board meets quarterly at the Anne Arundel Community College Campus, 101 College Parkway Arnold, MD. 21012
