General Info
The Board of Electrical Examiners hears complaints with reference to violations of Title 11, Article 4, of the Anne Arundel County Code and advises the Director of Inspection and Permits of its findings and recommendations. The Commission advises the County Council on the adoption of rules and regulations designed to govern the conduct of the trade of master electrician and the placement, installation and operation of electrical conductors, appliances, apparatus, or construction in, on, and about buildings and structures. It advises the Director of Inspections and Permits on the issuance of electrician's licenses, and, in connection with this function, ascertains by appropriate written examination the qualifications and capabilities of persons who are or desire to be engaged in the electrical trade.
