Dedicated to enriching the lives of the women and families of Anne Arundel County
The Anne Arundel County Commission for Women was created in 1975 to serve as a resource and advocacy group for women of the County and to advise the County Executive on issues of significance to women. The Commission has expanded its advocacy to also include the families of Anne Arundel County. The Commission works cooperatively with public and private organizations, government agencies, non-profit groups, and with other women’s advocacy groups to bring about solutions.
Comprised of a group of eighteen women with different backgrounds and occupations the commissioners represent various areas of the County. They are appointed by the County Executive to serve a two-year term and are dedicated to improving the quality of life for the women of our County.
