Reverend James W. Griffin Jr. is a veteran (USMC, USAF, USA, Ret.). He served tours in in Japan, Djibouti, Saudi Arabia, Italy, South Africa, and Iraq as an Aviation Intermediate Level Hydraulics Mechanic, Marine Security Guard, Paralegal Specialist, Court Reporter, Supply Sergeant, and other official duties.
While serving Elder Griffin was the recipient of multiple military awards to include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal and many more. Rev. Griffin is an Alumni of Liberty University in Lynchburg Virginia where he earned two bachelor’s degrees, in Behavioral Science and Government Administration. He continued his graduate studies at Liberty attending seminary at the Rawlings School of Divinity earning a Masters of Theological Studies.
Since Rev. Griffin’s retirement from the military he has continued service as a civilian working as a Protocol Officer for Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, as the Chief of Staff and Protocol Officer for the Master Chief Petty Officer of the United States Navy (MCPON), and with the National Security Agency.
Rev. Griffin is an ordained associate pastor with Deliverance Fellowship Churches Worldwide, a chaplain with Liberty Baptist Fellowship, he is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, Prince Hall Freemasons, A.E.A.O.N.M.S., NAACP and the American Legion. Rev. Griffin is a husband, father of 5, and grandfather of 1.
