The Bureau of Waste Management Services provides recycling containers and compost bins for residents to utilize.

Please note that you do not need a yellow recycling container to recycle in Anne Arundel County; you can use any container that works best for you, just be sure to mark it with "X" and please make sure the loaded container does not weigh more than 40 pounds.

How to Obtain?

You can pick up a free 32 gallon recycling container at any of the locations listed below. Reclaimed recycling containers are available, and although they are not "new" they are in good condition.
Note:  Residents seeking a yellow recycling container must submit proof of Anne Arundel County residency.   Effective November 1, 2011, residents must also acknowledge in writing that they will use the container solely for the intended purpose of recycling and only within Anne Arundel County.   Container Acknowledgement
If you have an old rectangular 18 gallon recycling bin that you would like to trade-in, you may do so when you pick up your 32 gallon recycling container.
