Overview

Recreational kayaking trips will each include basic kayak instruction. Safety permitting, there will be the opportunity to wade and swim. We provide all the equipment necessary to enjoy a day on the water.

  • Please bring your own lunch, snacks, and plenty of water as well as a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and dry clothes. Please wear either strapped sandals or water shoes, no flipflops. Space is limited, registration required. Children must be at least 13 years old to participate, and all children ages 13 – 17 must be accompanied by a participating adult.

  • Beginner trips: Trips which are in easier navigable and calmer waters. These trips are geared more towards an introduction to kayaking and basic on the water skills. All of these trips are open to all and welcome more advanced paddlers as well. These trips will be between 3.5 - 4.5 hours.

  • Intermediate trips: These trips will usually be longer and located in areas that may require more familiarity with paddling. We will still be doing instruction but because of the nature of the trip, we are asking that paddlers have some experience on the water in order to attend these trips. Intermediate trips will be between 5-6 hours.

  • All trips will start at 8:30 a.m. or 9:00 a.m.
