Overview

The Public Information Act (PIA) gives citizens the right to gain access to disclosable government records in a timely manner. PIA is found in the General Provisions Article, §§ 4-101 through 4-601, Annotated Code of Maryland. 

Immediately available records from the County Council include:

  • All legislative files from 1965 to the present.
  • County Council meeting and public hearing audio files from 2007 to the present.
  • County Council public hearing video files from 2009 to the present.
  • County Council public hearing minutes from 1920 to the present.

How to

To file a PIA request for County Council Information, please contact Joanne Gray, Administrative Officer, by email jgray@aacounty.org, or by mail, at 44 Calvert Street, Annapolis, MD  21401.  All PIA requests need to be in writing.  If you have any questions, please call Ms. Gray at 410-222-1401.
