Registration is now open for the 2017-2018 school year! 
Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks is pleased to offer state-licensed Pre-K, School Age Child Care (SACC) and Middle School Teen Group (MSTG) programs located within many of the schools and one recreation center in Anne Arundel County. Our programs provide a safe, supportive environment that promotes social interaction, community integration, physical development and intellectual growth in accordance with the Maryland State Department of Education’s Office of Child Care and National After School Alliance Standards.
School Age Child Care (SACC)
The before school program operates from 7:00 a.m. until the start of the school day (AM snack is included in your fee) and the after school program operates from the end of the school day until 6:00 p.m. every day that school is in session for students. (PM snack is included in your fee)

**Hilltop SACC 
At Hilltop SACC, there are two programs available: 1) Pre-K (4 year old) & K program and 2) 1st-5th grade program. Children enrolled in full-day Pre-K during the school day are eligible to attend the Pre-K classroom before and after school. Children must be 4 years old by their first day of attendance.

Pre-K Program
A licensed preschool program is also available at the South County Recreation Center. Children ages 3, 4 & 5 are eligible to attend the program. There are multiple part-time and full-time care opportunities available.
Middle School Program
A middle school PM program is available at Crofton MS. Children in grades 6-8 are eligible to attend the Middle School Teen Group program.

How to Register

Registration for New Participants 
Please be aware that there is a maximum registration for each center and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. 
  • Registrations may be completed by Creating an Account  (Create a primary account with an adult over the age of 18. An email address is required to create an account online) or in person at the Child Care Administrative Office, or mailed to: Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks, Child Care Division, Suite 105, 1 Harry S. Truman Parkway, Annapolis, MD 21401
  • Prior to your child’s first day, the Child Care Administrative Office must receive a completed registration, registration fee, and the first month’s payment. 
  • Please be aware that online registration does not complete the registration process. You will immediately receive an email that your online registration was received. You must keep this for your records to verify the date of your registration. 
  • After completing the online registration, the next step is to view the Required Forms for Admission sheet. Open the Forms & Publications page to download the required forms. 
  • Your child’s enrollment will not be considered complete until all required forms and the fee have been received by Child Care. 
  • There is a $25 non-refundable first time registration fee.

Fees are established on a yearly basis as determined by program costs and divided equally on a monthly basis. There is a one-time $25 registration fee for new participants.
