Project Description
Indoor swim facilities were identified as a deficit in the 2017 LPPRP. The planned facility will be approximately 60,000 square feet and include a 50-meter competition pool to support Anne Arundel high school swimming programs, 6,000 square foot recreational play pool, kiddie pool, hot tub, party rooms and office, toilet, shower, locker, and other support areas. Work will include other park improvements.

The Department of Recreation and Parks held a virtual Public Meeting on January 29, 2024, to input on the criteria for selecting the location of the West County Swim Center. Information shared at that meeting is linked below. A public survey also seeking input remains open through February 12, 2024.
