Mayo Beach Park sits at the mouth of the South River and the Chesapeake Bay. The park is available to groups on a permit basis for civic and nonprofit organizations, weddings, receptions, cultural exhibits, company picnics and family reunions. | Mayo Beach Park is a great launch site wind surfers and kiters as well as for canoe and kayak enthusiasts. There are several “Water Trails” that can be paddled to with several historic and scenic points of interest. Open "Mayo Wind General Information" link for more information. |

| Mayo Beach is part of the Anne Arundel Cartop Boat launch program. This site requires a valid permit to utilize the launch area. The permit is valid only for the applicant and car top launch area. Guests are not included. No motorized watercraft may launch, land or park on the beach. Mayo Beach Park is not open to the General Public, this permit is for boat launching only. No picnic or swimming is allowed. Cartop launch is available 7 days a week from dawn to dusk with the exception of camp days and special event days. |

| From Annapolis, take MD Route 2 (Solomons Island Road) South (4.5 miles) to MD Route 214 (Central Avenue). Take 214 East (4.4 miles) and turn left on Shoreham Beach Road at Lou’s Store. Stay on Shoreham Beach Road (1 mile) through sharp turns (3 Mayo Beach signs) to Honeysuckle Drive. Turn sharp right and follow Honeysuckle Drive into the Park. |
