Animal Cruelty  -  Annapolis
 
On March 4, 2019 at approximately 7:30 a.m. we received a call for an animal complaint. A female pit bull type mix (adult, but unknown age) was located deceased under a trash bag in the area of Old Mill Bottom Road and St. Margaret's Road. Southern District Detectives are investigating with the assistance of Anne Arundel County Animal Care & Control. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Southern District Detective Unit at 410-222-1960 or Animal Care & Control 410-222-8900. No further information at this time.  
 
 
SOUTHERN DISTRICT
 
Commercial Armed Robbery - Edgewater
 
On March 2, 2019 at approximately 12:06 a.m., officers responded for an armed robbery at the Royal Farms Store located at 301 Londontowne Road in Edgewater. A male suspect approached the counter, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk complied and the suspect fled the business toward Mayo Road. Officers searched the area with the assistance of the police K-9 unit, however were unable to locate the suspect. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
