Northern District
 
Assault on Police Officer / Linthicum
 
On June 28, 2019, at approximately 1640 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Maple Road E. and Orchard Road in Linthicum to check on the welfare of a male who was slumped over the wheel of a red Chevrolet S10 pickup truck in the middle of the intersection. Upon arrival, officers observed the male asleep at the wheel. Officers approached the vehicle and knocked on the window of the locked vehicle in an attempt to wake the male. As the officers were standing near the front of the vehicle, the male regained consciousness, made direct eye contact with the officers, and accelerated toward them. One of the officers had to push off of the vehicle to avoid being injured. The suspect then swerved in an apparent attempt to strike the other officer and then fled the area. Officers located the located the vehicle and apprehended the suspect. No injuries or property damage were reported as a result of this incident.

Citizen Robbery / Brooklyn
 
On June 30, 2019 at approximately 7:50 p.m., officers responded to the area of 5045 Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn for a robbery of a citizen. The adult male victim was pushing a small cart of merchandise he intended to sell, when a group of eight unknown juvenile males approached him and pushed him away from his cart. One of the males told the victim he had a knife, however no knife was observed. Several of the males removed items from the victim's cart and fled the area along 11th Avenue. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

Attempted Commercial Robbery / Millersville
 
On July 1, 2019 at approximately 3:40 a.m., officers responded for a robbery at the McDonald's restaurant located at 680 Old Mill Road in Millersville. Two male suspects entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the register. The employee was unable to open the register and the suspects fled the business in an unknown direction. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
