Police Press Release for May 8, 2018

Narcotics and Special Investigations

CDS Violation - Brooklyn Park / Glen Burnie                                                 

On May 7, 2018, detectives from the Narcotics and Special Investigations Section executed a search and seizure warrant at 5356 Patrick Henry Drive in Brooklyn Park and 901 Genine Drive in Glen Burnie.  These search and seizure warrants were executed as a result of an investigation into the suspect utilizing both residences to sell illegal drugs in Anne Arundel County.

As a result detectives seized the following:

·         479.8 grams of cocaine (estimated street value $47,900.00)

·         11 Xanax pills (estimated street value $110.00)

·         Smith and Wesson .38 Special Revolver

·         Ammunition   

·         $856.00 in U.S. Currency

·         CDS packaging material – scale, vacuum sealer with bags, and kilo press   

·          2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Suspect/arrested:

1)      Edwin Soto

Northern District

Citizen Robbery - Brooklyn Park

On May 6, 2018 at approximately 7:41 a.m., officers responded for a citizen robbery in the 5200 block of Disney Avenue in Brooklyn Park.  The adult female victim stated that while in front of her residence she was approached by the suspect who displayed a handgun and demanded her purse. The victim complied and the suspect fled on foot towards Baltimore City.  Several officers including police canine canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspect/suspect vehicle. There were no injuries.

Suspect: Black male, wearing blue/teal hooded jacket and pants 

 

Citizen Robbery - Linthicum

On May 6, 2018 at approximately 1:00 a.m., officers responded to a citizen robbery in the 300 block of Hance Avenue in Linthicum.  The adult male victim advised that while exiting his vehicle in front of his home, he was approached by the suspect.  The suspect displayed a gun and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled the area in an unknown make and model vehicle. Several officers including police canine canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspect/suspect vehicle. There were no injuries.

Suspect: Unknown race male, 5’6” – 5’8” wearing all dark clothing, black mask

 

Citizen Robbery  - Brooklyn Park

On May 4, 2018 at approximately 11:06 p.m., officers responded to a citizen robbery in the 4600 block of 4th Street in Brooklyn Park.  Two juvenile victims stated that while walking home from a nearby convenience store they were approached by the suspect that displayed a handgun and demanded their cell phones and money.  The victims complied and the suspect fled the area on foot. Several officers including police canine canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspect. There were no injuries.

Suspect: Black male, wearing light colored sweat suit
