Police Press Release December 29, 2017 (UPDATE)

Multiple Armed Robberies / Attempts (Arrest Update) -  Linthicum / Glen Burnie

From December 14, 2017 to December 17, 2017, officers responded to five commercial armed robberies / attempts in the Glen Burnie and Linthicum Heights areas.  Please see update below.

1. Attempted Robbery  - Linthicum Heights

On December 14, 2017 at approximately 9:30 p.m. officers responded to the BP Gas Station located at 6830 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd in Linthicum Heights for an attempted robbery. The store employee stated that the suspect entered the store, implied he had a gun, and demanded money. The employee refused and the suspect fled the business without any money/property. Several officers, including a police canine responded and canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

Suspect:

White male, approximately 6’0” wearing dark clothing
 

2. Commercial Robbery - Linthicum Heights                

On December 14, 2017 at approximately 10:20 p.m. officers responded to the Exxon located at723 Nursery Road in Linthicum Heights for a robbery. The store employee stated that suspect entered the business, implied he had a gun, and demanded cash.  The employee complied and the suspect fled the business.  Several officers, including a police canine responded and canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

Suspect:

White male, approximately 6’0” wearing dark clothing
 

3. Commercial Robbery - Glen Burnie

On December 16, 2017 at approximately 4:00 a.m., officers responded to the Royal Farms located at 200 Oakwood Road in Glen Burnie for a robbery. The store employee stated the suspect entered the business, walked around the counter, and took the cash drawer from the register and several packs of Newport cigarettes. The suspect then fled the scene. The suspect did not display nor imply a weapon. Several officers, including a police canine responded and canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

Suspect:

White male, approximately 30 years old, blonde hair, wearing green jacket
 

4.  Commercial Robbery - Glen Burnie                       

On December 17, 2017 at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers responded to the Rite Aid located at 7967 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie for a robbery. The store employee stated the suspects entered the business, one suspect implied he had a gun, and demanded cash.  The employee complied and the suspects fled the business.  Several officers, including a police canine responded and canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

Suspects:

1) White male, blonde hair, wearing dark coat and scarf, light colored pants (implied gun)

2) Black male, medium build, back hat, dark jacket, light colored pants

 

5. Commercial Robbery - Glen Burnie

On December 17, 2017 at approximately 11:45 p.m., officers responded to the Shell/Dash Inn located at 6616 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie for a robbery. The store employee stated the suspect entered the business, produced a small baseball bat, and demanded cash.  The employee complied and the suspect fled the business.  Several officers, including a police canine responded and canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

Suspect:

White male, 20-30 years old, approximately 6’0”

 

Update (12/29/17)

As a result of the investigation into the above incidents, the suspects involved in these robberies were identified as Jimmy Joseph Samuel Lane and Bena Mel-Lasse Forrester. Lane was located by Detectives and taken into custody on December 20, 2017. Forrester is still wanted and has an active arrest warrant in reference to these robberies. Anyone with information on Forrester is asked to contact the Commercial Robbery Unit at 410-222 4720.

Commercial Armed Robbery (UPDATE)  - Annapolis

On December 27, 2017, at approximately 10:00 p.m., officers responded for a robbery at the Mr. Smoke located at 2020 West Street in Annapolis. An employee stated that two suspects armed with handguns entered the store and demanded money. The suspects took money and 2 vapes before fleeing through a rear door of the store.  Several units responded and observed a vehicle occupied by males matching the descriptions given of the suspects in the area of Hudson Street and West Street.  When officers conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle the two occupants fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit and search of the area, officers located and apprehended one of the suspects on Jennifer Road near Medical Parkway. The second suspect is still outstanding.

1)      Abdullah Khalil Ismaeel Michelle

DOB: 08/15/81

No fixed address
 

Update (12/28/17):

As a result of the investigation, the second suspect involved in this robbery was identified. The suspect was observed walking in the area of Route 450/Route 50 on the morning of December 28, 2017 and taken into custody.
