Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities Senior Nutrition Shop 'N Eat Program Pre-registration for Winter

Pre-registration begins October 30th, 2017  

Annapolis, MD (October 5, 2017) - The Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities Senior Nutrition Program The Shop'N Eat (Subsidizing Healthy-food Options Plus Nutrition Education and Training) quarterly program provides nutrition education and the opportunity to purchase subsidized grocery cash cards to senior participants around Anne Arundel County. The December cash card retailer will be Shoppers Food Warehouse.

 
Program Requirements:
  • Anne Arundel County resident
  • 60 years or older
  • Must have valid state ID
  • Pre-registration is MANDATORY!
  • Participate in the nutrition education each quarter
  • Pay by check, cash or money order
  • Late arrivals (15 minutes or more) will result in ineligibility to participate that day
  • Expect to be at distribution for up to 2hrs this includes the nutrition education and the distribution time

Arnold Tuesday-December 12th
Brooklyn Park Tuesday-December 5th
O'Malley Thursday-December 7th
Pasadena             Friday-December 8th
Pascal Wednesday-December 13th
South County Thursday-December 14th
 
Pre-Registration Process:
 
Pre-registration will begin Monday, October 30th, 2017, at 8am and will end on Thursday, November 9th, 2017, at 4pm, you must call between this period. You may either call  or email Senior_Nutrition@ to reserve your spot. Please leave a message or email your name, address, DOB, location of interest and phone number. Spots are limited to 50 per each senior center location. Please allow 3 business days for a confirmation call or email. 
 
Anyone needing on-site accommodations must contact LaTanya Clark at , or by email at  at least seven days in advance of the event.  TTY users, please call via Maryland Relay 7-1-1. Materials are available in an alternative format upon request.
