Stand on the sidelines and view a trade that is over 100 years old but still very much alive today at Kinder Farm Park. The Blacksmith Shop is open on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

    • Sawmill Workshop Time: 9:00a - 12:00p Location: Kinder Farm Park Details:

      Weather permitting, Kinder Farm Park's very own Sawmill Club will be running logs through the mill. Wood milled from the sawmill can be seen around Kinder Farm park, including inside the Tobacco Barn Museum and Visitor Center.

      Antique Equipment and Sawmill Club’s mission is the restoration and display of the park’s antique farm equipment, tractors and sawmill. Our goal is to offer presentations and displays of antique farm tools and equipment so that those participating can experience farm life in historical Anne Arundel County. The lumber from the sawmill is used in many of the small barns and other structures in the park.

      The Police Community Relations Council meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30 p.m.  The Anne Arundel County Police-Community Relations Council (PCRC) is a voluntary, independent, self-constituted advisory body.

      Volunteer, Carolyn Domneys will be available for repairs. Costume only please! She can fix kinks, earring backings, stones, hooks, etc. She will also fix watches with batteries, but you need to bring the battery. No fee, but donations are accepted and go to the center.

    • AARP Safe Driving Course Time: 9:00a - 2:00p Location: South County Senior Activity Center 27 Stepneys Lane Edgewater, MD 21037 Details: This drivers’ safety course was designed specifically for driver’s over age 50. For AARP members the fee is $15.00, for non-members the fee is $20.00, payable to your instructor. AARP members are asked to bring their membership card. Sign up at the front desk.

      Braille is a code to represent letters and is recognized by touch. Marla Sewell will be on hand to share her braille communications.

    • Rabies Clinic Time: 12:00p - 3:00p Location: 411 Maxwell Frye Road Millersville, MD 21108 Details:

      Due to the significant increase in positive rabies cases experienced in Anne Arundel County, Animal Control is doing its part to help protect all Anne Arundel County pets from the deadly rabies virus. 

      Low cost rabies vaccinations are available every Thursday (except holidays) for a period of 3 hours at Anne Arundel County Animal Control. For the period of July - September the rabies clinics will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. From October - June the clinic will be from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. The veterinarian leaves promptly at the end time for the clinic. Depending on the length of the line, Animal Control may conclude the line at an appropriate time to ensure all individuals remaining in line receive the services.

      Due to health and safety concerns for animals and humans alike, the Rabies Clinic will be canceled on any day that the anticipated heat index is above 100 degrees or if other inclement weather that could jeopardize the safety of pets and humans. 
      Be sure to bring a bowl and water for your animals to drink while you wait in line!

      Enjoy short films of popular children's picture books and make a craft during this 30-minute program.

    • Mr. Charisma Entertainment Time: 11:00a - 12:00p Location: Brooklyn Park Senior Activity Center 202 Hammonds Lane Brooklyn Park, MD 21225 Details: Camron Robertson will fill our hearts with songs from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and much more! He is quite the performer with a strong sense to entertain the older generation with what he calls real music.
