      Go shopping for great deals with friends at the Big Lots located on Hospital Drive.

    • Dining in Colonial Maryland Time: 11:00a - 12:00p Location: O'Malley Senior Activity Center 1275 Odenton Road Odenton, MD 21113 Details:

      Learn about the various foods that sustained Marylanders in the early days of settlement through to the 18th century with distinctions being made for class, wealth, race and time-period. This program explores foods that were grown or harvested in Maryland and looks at exotic imports from around and more. Cooking techniques, food preservation and sortment of tasting accompany this program. Presented by Food Historian, Joyce White.

    • Van Trip-Brio Tuscan Grille Time: 11:00a - 1:30p Location: Arnold Senior Activity Center 44 Church Road Arnold, MD 21012 Details:

      Brio’s located in the Annapolis Towne Center is a warm, relaxed Italian eatery serving Tuscan-inspired grill fare. Their menu consists of soups, salads, homemade pastas, fine steaks, seafood and specialties made in a wood burning oven. Seats on the van are limited. Participants are responsible for the cost of their meal and tip. Sign up by Thursday, January 18th. Menu available at the front desk.

    • Rabies Clinic Time: 12:00p - 3:00p Location: 411 Maxwell Frye Road Millersville, MD 21108 Details:

      Due to the significant increase in positive rabies cases experienced in Anne Arundel County, Animal Control is doing its part to help protect all Anne Arundel County pets from the deadly rabies virus. 

      Low cost rabies vaccinations are available every Thursday (except holidays) for a period of 3 hours at Anne Arundel County Animal Control. For the period of July - September the rabies clinics will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. From October - June the clinic will be from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. The veterinarian leaves promptly at the end time for the clinic. Depending on the length of the line, Animal Control may conclude the line at an appropriate time to ensure all individuals remaining in line receive the services.

      Due to health and safety concerns for animals and humans alike, the Rabies Clinic will be canceled on any day that the anticipated heat index is above 100 degrees or if other inclement weather that could jeopardize the safety of pets and humans. 
      Be sure to bring a bowl and water for your animals to drink while you wait in line!

    • Moxie Time: 12:30p - 1:00p Location: Pascal Senior Activity Center 125 Dorsey Road Glen Burnie, MD 21061 Details: Moxie C.A. Scibelli-May, also known as Moxie will perform. Moxie is an energetic vocalist who will perform songs that will take you back in time. Dancers welcome.
    • South County Show Stoppers Time: 12:30p - 1:00p Location: Pasadena Activity 4103 Mountain Road Pasadena, MD 21122 Details: Enjoy an afternoon of music by Don and Lisa. They have been playing music together for over 25 years. They focus on folk music with some classic country songs mixed in, covering a wide variety of artists including Joan Baez, Peter Paul & Mary, Ian and Sylvia, Johnny Cash and more. Please register by January 22nd.
    • Teen Writers Club Time: 6:00p - 8:00p Location: Eastport-Annapolis Neck Community Library 269 Hillsmere Drive, Annapolis Details: Teens and tweens ages 11-17 explore the craft of writing with the help of a volunteer from the Maryland Writers' Association.     • Not My Child: Heroin Addiction Presentation Time: 6:30p - 8:30p Location: Christ Episcopal Church 220 Owensville Road, West River 20778 Details:

      There will be a "Not My Child" event regarding substance misuse in our community on January 25, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church 220 Owensville Road, West River 20778. Please come out and increase your awareness of this fatal epidemic - it affects all communities. 

      Are you concerned that your child might be experiencing with drugs or addicted to drugs? Do you want to be prepared to teach your younger children never to start using? Are you looking for help with treatment?

      "Not My Child" is a special presentation to remove the stigma of heroin addiction and get help for families caught in the web of drugs. This presentation will include a panel of experts, question and answer from the audience and treatment providers ready to provide information and referral.
