      Patrick Heline will examine the lives and successes of one of Rock N Roll’s defining singing groups, The Platters. The Platters created a new element to Rock and Roll music, the harmonizing, soulful sound into the 1950’s Rock N Roll music. Seating is limited; please register early.

      The AA County Office of Emergency Management will do an orientation to Winter Weather Preparedness. Participants will receive free emergency preparedness handout materials as well as a personal Sample Emergency kit.

    • Rabies Clinic Time: 12:00p - 3:00p Location: 411 Maxwell Frye Road Millersville, MD 21108 Details:

      Due to the significant increase in positive rabies cases experienced in Anne Arundel County, Animal Control is doing its part to help protect all Anne Arundel County pets from the deadly rabies virus. 

      Low cost rabies vaccinations are available every Thursday (except holidays) for a period of 3 hours at Anne Arundel County Animal Control. For the period of July - September the rabies clinics will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. From October - June the clinic will be from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. The veterinarian leaves promptly at the end time for the clinic. Depending on the length of the line, Animal Control may conclude the line at an appropriate time to ensure all individuals remaining in line receive the services.

      Due to health and safety concerns for animals and humans alike, the Rabies Clinic will be canceled on any day that the anticipated heat index is above 100 degrees or if other inclement weather that could jeopardize the safety of pets and humans. 
      Be sure to bring a bowl and water for your animals to drink while you wait in line!

    • Baltimore Ghost Tours: Fells Point Ghost Talk Time: 12:30p - 1:00p Location: Pasadena Activity 4103 Mountain Road Pasadena, MD 21122 Details:

      Steeped in history, this talk covers ghost stories both humorous to tragic, from old salts to Baltimore Hons. A costumed performer will regale Pasadena Senior Center with tales of Fells Point as it was, an 18th century maritime village busting with sailors, immigrants, and ladies of the night calling out of windows to passer-by-and walking in and out of the boarding houses and taverns that lined the streets. Please register by January 4th.

    • Manga Mania Time: 3:00p - 3:30p Location: Riviera Beach Community Library 1130 Duvall Highway, Pasadena Details: Share the love of Japanese comics and animation.  For fans both new and old, just drop in!
    • Paint Party for Kids Time: 4:30p - 5:00p Location: Brooklyn Park Community Library 1 East 11th Avenue, Baltimore Details: Express yourself and create your own masterpiece with guided instructions. Supplies provided.
    • Deale Writing Group Time: 5:00p - 9:00p Location: AA County Library 5940 Deale-Churchton Road, Deale, MD 20751 Details:

      Work on a writing project alone or get help from other writers. Handouts will also be available to help you with plotting, outlining, characters, and self-editing. Drop in and stay as long or as little as you'd like from 5 to 9pm.

    • General Development Plan Listening Session Time: 6:00p - 8:00p Location: Annapolis High School Cafeteria, 2700 Riva Road, Annapolis Details:

      The Office of Planning and Zoning will work with stakeholders, citizens, and other state and local government agencies to update the General Development Plan in the next two years. A series of Listening Sessions will be held around Anne Arundel County to hear the issues and vision people have for the County.

      In the event the Anne Arundel County Public Schools are closed or after school events are canceled for inclement weather, the General Development Plan Listening Sessions will be canceled and rescheduled for a later date.
    • Teen Writers Club Time: 6:00p - 6:30p Location: Eastport Annapolis Neck Community Library Details: Teens and tweens ages 11-17 explore the craft of writing with the help of a volunteer from the Maryland Writers' Association.
