Due to the significant increase in positive rabies cases experienced in Anne Arundel County, Animal Control is doing its part to help protect all Anne Arundel County pets from the deadly rabies virus.
Anne Arundel County Animal Control will be offering an extended Rabies and Microchip Clinic for the public on Thursday October 19th 2017. The clinic will be held at Anne Arundel County Animal Control at 411 Maxwell Frye Road in Millersville MD 21108. The clinic, which normally runs from 12 pm to 3 pm (from October through June), will be extended and run from 12 pm until 7 pm. This opportunity is being offered in an effort to make rabies vaccination of pets more accessible to the public as it is a requirement of the law. After this extended clinic the weekly Rabies Clinics will return to normal hours of operation from 12 pm to 3 pm on Thursdays through June.
Due to health and safety concerns for animals and humans alike, the Rabies Clinic will be canceled on any day that the anticipated heat index is above 100 degrees or if other inclement weather that could jeopardize the safety of pets and humans.
Be sure to bring a bowl and water for your animals to drink while you wait in line!
