Rabies Clinic - CANCELLED

Thu. Jan 4, 2018 12:00pm - 3:00pm (Recurring)
411 Maxwell Frye Road Millersville, MD 21108
The weekly rabies/microchip clinic for Thursday January 4, 2018 has been CANCELLED for safety reasons due to extremely low forecast temperatures and wind chill.  We apologize for the inconvenience but since this is an outdoor line we do not want to expose people or animals to the extreme cold at risk of their health.  Weather permitting our clinics will resume next week.

Due to the significant increase in positive rabies cases experienced in Anne Arundel County, Animal Control is doing its part to help protect all Anne Arundel County pets from the deadly rabies virus.

Low cost rabies vaccinations are available every Thursday (except holidays) for a period of 3 hours at Anne Arundel County Animal Control. For the period of July - September the rabies clinics will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. From October - June the clinic will be from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. The veterinarian leaves promptly at the end time for the clinic. Depending on the length of the line, Animal Control may conclude the line at an appropriate time to ensure all individuals remaining in line receive the services.

Due to health and safety concerns for animals and humans alike, the Rabies Clinic will be canceled on any day that the anticipated heat index is above 100 degrees or if other inclement weather that could jeopardize the safety of pets and humans.
Be sure to bring a bowl and water for your animals to drink while you wait in line!
